Cardiac Diagnostics & Screening

Cardiac diagnostics are non-invasive or minimally invasive tests that help us understand how your heart is functioning. Early detection of heart disease can prevent emergencies such as heart attacks or strokes.

Electrocardiogram (ECG)
check rhythm and heart rate

Small stickers are placed on your chest, arms, and legs. The machine records your heart’s electrical activity within 5 minutes. Useful for detecting rhythm problems, previous heart attack, or ongoing chest pain.

Echocardiography (2D/3D Echo)
ultrasound to see heart valves & pumping

A painless ultrasound of the heart. A probe is placed on your chest with gel. It shows heart size, pumping strength, valve function, and fluid around the heart. Takes 15–20 minutes.

Treadmill Test (TMT/Stress Test)
detect exercise-related chest pain

You walk on a treadmill while connected to ECG leads. Speed and incline gradually increase. This helps reveal hidden blockages when your heart works harder.

Holter & Event Monitor
continuous rhythm recording

A small portable ECG worn for 24–48 hours (Holter) or longer (event recorder). Detects irregular heartbeats that may not appear in a short ECG.

Ambulatory BP Monitoring (ABPM)
24-hour BP pattern tracking

A cuff records blood pressure every 15–30 minutes over 24 hours. Helps diagnose hidden high BP and evaluate BP medication control.

CT Coronary Angiogram
(at partner centre):

A CT scan with IV contrast dye. It shows blockages in heart arteries non-invasively.
